On 6 December 2015, 10 TTT members attended the Victorian Drama League (VDL) Awards night in Chadstone. Over 350 people attended the night and represented 26 different theatre companies from across the State.

There were awards for set design, lighting design, sound design, costume design, hand and set props, best actress & actor (including leading, minor roles and supporting roles) in both comedy and drama categories.

TTT  entered its May 2015  production “A skull in Connemara” into the VDL Awards process and were very excited to be nominated in the following categories:

  • Best hand and set props – Marie Darby
  • Best actor in a supporting role – PJ White

  • Best sound design – Don Bennett & Jock Hossack
  • Best comedy production
  • Best Director of a comedy production – Glenn Barton
  • Best actor in a comedy production – Fred Preston

The Adjudicator’s Award was also given to TTT for “ingenious construction and use of a grave“.

What a great success for the Troupe and the Director, cast and all the crew who worked on the show. And a very enjoyable evening!
