The recently released 2019-20 budget seems to have neglected a small matter of the Performing Arts!
Following two feasibility studies, an engineer’s report, detailed submissions by TTT to Council and various Arts Groups’ representations to Council, the line item ($$$) that was to be considered for the proposed budget has not materialised. Instead, Council is proposing a further cultural study (which would probably reinforce what has already been found out) at a cost of $65,000.
Shame on the Shire for neglecting its Arts Community!
If William Shakespeare lived in Torquay it might be a different story.
